Ans: If you have applied for two papers in the GATE examination, there is a possibility that they could be scheduled in the same session. However, the examination authorities usually try to avoid such clashes and schedule the papers in different sessions or on different days. Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) and Civil Engineering (CE) papers in GATE will be conducted as multi-session papers, specifically two-session papers. Candidates will be assigned to either the forenoon session or the afternoon session, and the question papers will differ for each session. Multiple sessions are scheduled when the candidate count is too high for a single session. Candidate scores will be normalized using the normalization formula.
