ONGC Recruitment Details
ONGC recruitment of Graduate Trainees. The selection will be on the basis of a written exam and interview. The test pattern is given below.
The educational qualification for ONGC Recruitment is 65 percent for general and OBC category and 60 percent for SC/ST/PC/Departmental candidates. The age limit is different for different posts.
SELECTION PROCESS
(a) Written test (Objective as well as Subjective Type) consisting of two papers namely (i) General Awareness (ii) Subject / Specialization concerned.
(b) The candidates who qualify in the written test shall be called for psychometric test and interview as per merit and criteria decided by the Management.
(c) The written test is tentatively scheduled on June 20, 2010. (The exact date of the test shall be communicated to the candidates through admit card and will also be available on ONGC website www.ongcindia.com
(d) Screening and selection will be based on the details provided, hence it is necessary that only accurate, full and correct information is furnished by the applicants.
Test Duration: 3 hours Sections of Exam:
1.General Awareness: (50 Marks):
Objective type : total 50 questions objective 1 Mark each.
Descriptive type : total 2 questions which carry 10 marks
2.Subject Specialization: (100 Marks)
Total 75 questions which carry 90 marks
Descriptive type total 2 questions which carry 10 marks
You should put more emphasis on Specialization subject paper as it has twice weightage as compared to General Awareness paper.
You have to attempt 40 out of 50 questions in objective papers and 60 out of 75 questions in Specialization subject paper objective section. So you have more option in objective section.
The specialization section has questions from the discipline in which the candidate has completed the degree for eligibility e.g. Electrical, Mechanical etc.
